On Ravi Zacharias

I am always reading, always watching, always listening, always learning, always thinking, always reasoning.

I am very much interested in reviews, what others think about this and all that stuff and so everytime I read or watch something I always look out for the reviews and comments by others.

And everytime I listen to Ravi Zacharias, the answer that he gives there're always people who criticize him for beating around the bush and some say he never really dealt with the question, some even say he should straight away tell them they are wrong.

Even when I write his name "Ravi Zacharias" I feel like I should add a salutation before his name. The contribution he has made for the Kingdom work is unparalleled in today's time, four decades of travelling the globe with 200 days in year out of his home away from his family, not to mention the pain to travel with a broken spine and the threats of death.

And these people commenting and lecturing Ravi think they know it better.

Ravi is truly gifted, the way he relates to the questioner rather than just dealing with the question is just so amazing.

First he wins the questioner by relating to the questioner on the emotional level letting them know that he really understands their issue and that he really cares for them and from then he goes on to empathise with them but never messing with the truth, he presents the truth so loudly and yet it is so comforting to the questioner. So he not just deals with the mind but he reaches the mind by first establishing the truth at the heart of the questioner.

And these people who comment and criticise are so puffed up with the knowledge that they want to attack with the truth rather than using the truth to heal the wounds.

1 Corinthians 8:1 says "knowledge puffs up but love builds up".

These guys are so puffed up with the knowledge that they don't care for the hurting heart and wounded soul.

Sometimes I too am guilty of this thing.

Like I said I am still learning. And one person that I personally know is my good friend and brother Mattson Poruthur (Max) who really touches the heart and not just the mind.

We should be prepared to defend our faith but let's not forget we are also the ambassadors of CHRIST.
